Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy—collectively referred to as AYUSH—are the six Indian medical systems that are widely used and practiced in India and some of the adjacent Asian nations, with very few exceptions in some of the developed nations. The Ayush market is expected to reach $23.3 billion by end of 2022, and given that India now wants to export traditional medicine to other countries, and the size of this sector would probably increase more quickly. In the seven years since 2014, the Ayush Industry has increased six times, from $3 billion to $18 billion, and it is still “one of the fastest expanding” sectors of the Indian economy. In this light since this is a significant opportunity, all parties involved must cooperate, integrate and create an ecosystem for better integrating healthcare services and adopt a pluralistic strategy for Ayush.
